Back in the fall of 2019, we were approached by our friends at Callen to shoot Real Estate performing several tracks live from their recently launched album, The Main Thing. We planned to use the footage to create a teaser video for an AR experience launching around the album's release until the COVID-19 pandemic hit the global community.
As lockdowns quickly ensued, the AR experience became Real Estate's way to reach fans stuck at home through the "Quarantour." Shifting our original plan for a tease, we created a music video highlighting the band performing "Gone" from the confines of our executive creative director's refrigerator. To continue the experience, we provided fans access to the keyed edit to contribute their take on a socially distanced performance of "Gone."
